Bad Sisters Season 2
I joined the Bad Sisters 2 project after initial creative was developed and the cast was photographed against a fairly specific set of sketches. We executed the sketches, but in the end felt the approach was too limited and did a larger exploration. In the end, one of the new pieces was selected as the hero art with the original sketches providing companion art, which showed up on platform and in other limited placements.
The strategy for season 2 focused on leaning into the Garvey sisters as a group, while providing just enough hints to the plot and a nod to the fact that they were still getting into trouble. A wedding in episode 1 gave us an opportunity to show that things were different. In the hero, the police tape, dirty dresses and the casts' performances helped show that all was not well after the end of the season 1. In the companion, the wedding again provides the setting while the cliff setting provided another opportunity to suggest the danger they were facing.
The OOH campaign included bus shelters in key shopping areas in London along with digital boards in the London Underground, for which we created some simple animated boards derived from the key art. The art also traveled extensively through the Apple ecosystem as the series enjoyed a high level of support. The second season had a strong debut and remained in the top 5 of Apple series for several weeks.
